So, Borderlands pre sequel
I did not expect much. I was hyped about the first borderlands. Loved it for the most part, but had some problems with it. Second one...was good. Better I guess. It pushed hard into the territory of "casual game with jokes in it" and I didn't mind that much. But I no longer cared for the story or the quests in any way. Even the characters became just the vessels for the game for me, instead of....whatever gearbox wanted them to be. The game was pretty and gunplay was mostly fine. That's what I cared about. That's also why I didn't care about pre sequel. If they continued in the same direction, it would be more of the same and I could play the second for that. Boy was I wrong. I still don't care much for the story or the characters. The gunplay is still the same. The game is pretty but the environments and enemies are mostly still the same.
